The reality for many nonprofit organizations is that we struggle to secure enough funding to reach our full potential. Grant funding is repeatedly sought to fill the gap in funding needed to hire staff, buy supplies, and execute projects. But grant writing can be time consuming and challenging, and how do you even begin to construct a grant-worthy project? This workshop is for anyone who is a part of under-funded or emerging organization or has a new program or project to launch. The session will provide a sandbox to workshop compelling grant project outcomes and create a project structure with realistic timelines and deliverables necessary for successful grant projects.
Rachael Woody has more than 10 years of grant acquisition and management experience. Her specialty is helping organizations who lack a grant specialist to acquire the resources they need to fund their mission and get back to doing the jobs that they love. Rachael's pragmatic approach will teach the participants how to confidently go from zero ideas to a winning grant project.
The workshop will be a mixture of lecture, guided instruction with handouts, brainstorming, group discussion, a group exercise, and an independent exercise. Participants will receive an exercise worksheet to use during the workshop and take home with them.
