March marks the beginning of year 3 of the Covid pandemic: zoom fatigue is real, engagement ebbs and flows as surges of Covid variants run through the greek alphabet, and decisions have to be made so your organization and team can function effectively and hit your goals. Additionally, Oregon Health Authority is planning to lift the statewide permanent mask mandate by the end of March, and you have a lot of questions about what that means for 2022 and even 2023 in regards to your events.

• What are the health liabilities around Covid if mask mandates are being lifted?
• Our sponsors and donors have been great supporters throughout the pandemic, however we don’t think our organization will bring back our annual fundraising event as it was pre-pandemic, and possibly not at all. What do we do to communicate with them?
• We want to keep the accessibility of online engagement, what should we consider for a hybrid event or going back to a full event?
• Is it possible to host an open air event without masks, but for the program when everyone is seated in close proximity can we ask for masks to be worn?

Cost of Event

WVDO will be implementing an accessible sliding-scale admission fee structure. For those who are able, the Community Builder admission fee helps cover the costs WVDO incurs to host and develop the training. If you are able to contribute more, please consider the Equity Builder admission fee, which will increase attendance accessibility to WVDO programming.
