Fundraising professionals can play a key role in helping nonprofits move beyond the practices and attitudes of competition and work together as partners in strengthening our communities. In this session, we’ll review the variety of ways you can fundraise in a spirit of abundance and discuss what coordinated/collaborative fundraising can look like on a day-to-day basis. You’ll learn practical tips and tools you can use to implement coordinated/collaborative fundraising practices into your work and organization.

About the Speaker:
Darcie Spar, Community Philanthropy Associate Director (she/her/hers) oversees the teams responsible for grants and collaborative/coordinated resource development at Oregon Food Bank. She began her non-profit career as an AmeriCorps member after graduating from Willamette University. Since then, she has worked and volunteered for non-profits of various sizes doing a wide range of fundraising activities. Collaborative, coordinated resource and relationship development has been a recurring theme throughout her career. She currently serves as the Programming Chair of the Oregon and SW Washington Chapter of the Grant Professionals Association and as Board Vice President and Fundraising Committee Chair of the Oregon Farmers Markets Association.
